Character Vs. Personality

An old song says that "you have to have personality". But today, seeing the scarcity of men –and women- capable of sustaining a healthy relationship, perhaps it would be better to say that “you have to have… character”. What is the difference between one thing and the other? Personality is made up of the most superficial aspects of our "I". If you are nice or not, for example. Character, on the contrary, is who we really are when we believe that nobody (important) sees us.

That polite guy with the girl he likes … how does he behave with the waiter who brought him the wrong order? How do you act when you have to choose between doing good or evil … and nobody will find out what you choose to do? What you do reveals your level of discipline, respect for yourself and neighbor, integrity and moral values. In other words: your character. The next time you meet a man with possibilities, look beyond his personality, who can be superficially charming, and dedicate yourself to looking deeper so that you can know his character. That way, there will be fewer unpleasant surprises in the future.
