Video: What Is Psoriasis?

I remember that when I was little, I suffered from allergies to certain foods. This caused a redness on my skin that my mother always healed by applying a magical pink product [calamine]. After a few days, the symptoms disappeared. But, when we went to the doctor, she always asked, "Doctor, are you sure it's not psoriasis?" He answered no and said that this condition was much more severe.
These days, I was at the hair salon and a girl told her stylist to use the shampoo she brought because she had psoriasis. Immediately, I remembered my mother's question!
“It is so uncomfortable, they have come out as scales on my scalp and it itches a lot. I'm not wearing dark clothes, because when I comb my hair they come off and it looks like I have dandruff, "she said.
Psoriasis “is a common skin condition that causes irritation and redness of the skin. Most people with psoriasis have thick, silver-white patches with red, scaly skin, called scales,”according to the US National Library of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health.
It is not contagious, but it is believed that there is a hereditary tendency. That is, it could be transmitted from parents to children. As is known, the skin is renewed, but in the case of someone with psoriasis, dead skin cells accumulate on the surface of the skin; therefore, the scales. There are various types of psoriasis. Some appear as large reddish spots on the skin or even as white blisters with a reddish rim. If you see any type of abnormality on your skin, consult your doctor.
