Video: Whole Wheat Bread: Energy Source

Yesterday, Sunday, my loved one and I had a portion of this food. We were in a hurry, we could not sit down to breakfast because we had to do various errands. So we decided that if we were going to eat something fast it should be healthy. Spring is here, summer is coming soon and we want to be ready to enjoy the beach with the satisfaction of being healthy inside; that our organism is in balance and in harmony. What do we prepare? Tomato, fresh mozzarella cheese, honey mustard, garlic and spices sandwiches on 12-grain whole wheat bread.
In addition to being a delicious food, it had a reasonable portion of vegetables (tomato, garlic, and spices) and was low in fat, mustard is barely calorie-dense. But, the most important thing is that with bread we had our portion of fiber for the day.
I love bread. I confess that I have a wonderful idyll with this food product. Obviously, white flours should be consumed very sparingly. But, also the integral ones. Remember that these products are high in sodium, but contain a large amount of fiber necessary for the proper functioning of the digestive system.
Additionally, carbohydrates are a source of energy that fuels muscles. My personal trainer always recommended a sandwich made with whole wheat bread, at least twice a week. He explained that it was a complete meal. It had the necessary amount of protein, fat, carbohydrates and vegetables. The important thing is that the products are low in fat. For example, instead of sweet ham, use roasted turkey. Instead of regular cheese, look for those low in fat. Same with butter and mayonnaise, replace it with mustard. And don't forget the vegetables: spinach, tomato, alfalfa, lettuce, cabbage, carrot, etc.
There are people who do not digest whole foods very well or who are allergic. If you see any change or reaction, after eating whole wheat bread, consult your doctor.
