Video: Sleep Well, Live Longer

Last week I had work days of more than 15 hours. But because I was so excited about what I was doing, adrenaline kept me alert. On Friday and Saturday my body screamed at me to rest. So, every night, I slept eight hours to regain energy.
Yesterday, while reviewing the health news on different internet portals, I read that "healthy longevity could be conditioned to sleep well," according to a study by the Portland State University of Oregon. I mean, you sleep well and live longer. The study was conducted with people older than 65 years and from 90 to 100 years. To the surprise of the researchers, those who were older said they had a better quality of sleep: 70 percent more than the rest.
In addition, an interesting fact that reviews the note published by Europa Press, is that health problems "were also associated with poorer quality of sleep, since 46 percent of these participants who presented some disease also recognized sleeping poorly", said Nohad Toula, one of the investigators.
Therefore, it is necessary that we rest eight hours from when we are children, youth and adulthood, if we want to enjoy a long and healthy life. So if you have gone days without sleep, partying or being overworked, pause and sleep. Your body will thank you. If you are suffering from sleep problems, consult your doctor.
