What is considered beautiful legs varies from culture to culture. Depending on the country, when you celebrate a woman's legs, you may be referring to rather plump calves or muscular legs. But speaking of legs, almost everywhere it is agreed that they must be firm and well shaped. And the calves, which were not always as exposed as they are today, are key in the sensuality and attractiveness of the legs, both those of women and men. Luckily, we can do a lot to improve the appearance of this part of our body, even if we are not very well endowed genetically speaking: the calves are made up of muscles, twins and soleus, andmuscles can be strengthened and grown.
With a good exercise routine for your legs, you can also dazzle the next time you wear high heels with a skirt:
• Walking, running or jogging are the basic movements to tone all the leg muscles. If running is already part of your routine, incorporate stretches or intervals at higher speeds to work the calves with greater intensity. If you live near the beach or some area where you can walk barefoot, try running without shoes for a few minutes.
• Jump rope. When you jump rope, your feet rest on the tip all the time and work your calves. A few minutes a day will be enough to start seeing the difference.
• Bicycle. Thanks to stationary bikes, this workout can be done at any time of the year. Adjust the bike to a resistance level that allows you to exercise for at least thirty minutes.
• Heel lift. There are devices in the gyms for this exercise, but you can also do it yourself. Either with a bar resting on the shoulders and supported with both hands, or without weight with the hands on the waist. With your legs shoulder-width apart, rise up on the balls of your feet. Try to do several runs of 10 to 12 repetitions.
