You don't have to be a fortune teller to decipher the “written” messages in a person's hands. These can reveal from your occupation to your age. For example, someone with calluses, blisters, and thick fingers is likely to do physical work or sports, while someone with thin fingers and delicate hands is likely to do intellectual or artistic work. In the same way, hands can say a lot about a person's health. If you look closely, you will be able to read the messages your body sends you. These are just some of the most frequent signs that something is wrong:

The fingers:

They can become inflamed as a result of consuming very salty foods, if the temperatures are very high, from taking antibiotics and even from PMS.

Raynaud's disease, which affects five percent of people, causes fingers to turn white or even blue due to cold temperatures or stress. It is an annoying sensation without major consequences if it does not extend more than half an hour.

A red flag may be inflammation of the knuckles, one of the symptoms of arthritis.

The ones

When they break easily, it could be due to a lack of vitamin D … and they are a warning that it's time to consume foods rich in that nutrient, such as fish and dark green vegetables. If what you notice is rather pale, you may have anemia and should eat more foods with iron.

On the other hand, if you see that your nails are very soft and they often bend, you may be deficient in calcium or protein. The most advisable thing is that you incorporate dairy derivatives, sardines and spinach into your diet. If you are lactose intolerant, you can get calcium from foods like kale, chia seeds, almonds, tofu, or even calcium-fortified orange juice.

A blow to a finger can leave a dark mark under your nail. But if you notice a persistent spot that doesn't go away over time, it could be melanoma.

Clapping hands

In addition to the famous destination lines, the coloring of the palms of the hands can carry a message. A reddish tone accompanied by itching can be eczema. The orange or yellow hues, on the other hand, can be a good sign: you are eating a lot of vegetables with carotene.

If you see your hands tremble frequently, it may be because you have consumed a lot of caffeine or because you are taking antidepressant or asthma medications. If this is not the case, it is recommended that you go to the doctor, as it could be a symptom of Parkinson's disease, a disorder of the nervous system that affects the person's movements.
