Question: This winter has left my hands dry. How can I restore softness?
Answer: Try this recipe with milk and honey for hands and nails, created by Christopher Wyatt for the Toma Leche campaign.
You will have silky, moist hands, regardless of the time of year. Take note of this "grandma's recipe," which worked before, now, and always:
½ cup whole milk
½ cup honey
½ cup glycerin (melted)
¼ cup buttermilk
1 egg yolk
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons jojoba oil
2 tablespoons green tea infusion
6 to 8 drops of lavender essential oil
4 tablespoons of sea salt or fig salt (Epsom Salt)
Procedure: Set aside tea and sea or fig salt. In a blender, combine all the ingredients and blend until a homogeneous consistency is achieved. Add the tea and cream to the hands and massage thoroughly into the nails and cuticles. Place your hands in plastic bags and wrap them in hot towels for 10 minutes. Rinse.
