The Scent Of Elegance

There are so many colognes and men's perfumes on the market that when I have to go for one, sometimes I prefer to go with the classic, with those brands that have a tradition of having created some of the most renowned and iconic scents of all time. These beautiful jars from Yves Saint Laurent's L'Homme and La Nuit de L'Homme neighborhoods attracted me from the moment I saw them. First, for its beautiful architectural flasks that locate us in the city and make us think of skyscrapers and second, obviously, for its exquisite and captivating aromas.

L'Homme is an extremely manly fragrance but the mixture of lemon and bergamot, ginger and the surprising arrival of notes of violet, basil and white pepper, lighten it deliciously. At the end of this olfactory journey one perceives sandalwood and cedar, which gives it an incomparable sensuality. It could be defined as an original, physical and captivating aroma. La Nuit de l'Homme, on the other hand, is full of contrasts. The light and the shadow, present in the bottle, play each other as the spicy freshness of cardamom with the notes of bergamot, the cedar with the lavender, where the woody and opulent notes of vetiver are combined with the creamy notes of the coumarin. It is an intense, elegant, mysterious aroma.

They are not new scents for Yves Saint Laurent. They have been released in a new limited edition in generous 200ml jars. That's another reason why I loved them: its practical size. For those men who like to drink a lot of cologne (and I know more than one), this is the opportunity to get these rich scents in sizes that are equivalent to two of the regular perfume bottles (and at a better price). Undoubtedly, from the sea of colognes and perfumes that we will encounter on the counters of department stores this Father's Day, they will stand out with difference.
