Nyakio is a brand of skin care products, inspired by a family of healers, farmers and educators. It was created by Nyakio Kamoche Grieco, a first-generation American of Kenyan descent, who teamed up with Sundial Brands to bring the global secrets of natural beauty to the American market.

The nyakio line is formulated with ethical and indigenous ingredients from sustainable sources. Ingredients such as manketti, neroli, passion fruit and yangu oils, red ginseng, and quinoa can be found in countries such as Kenya, China, Brazil, Spain, Egypt, India, Morocco, and Peru.

How did the idea of ​​launching this new brand of products come about?

I was inspired to create the nyakio line for skin care because of my family's beauty secrets, the beauty secrets that my friends and I shared, and what I learned during my travels.

What space in the market did you expect to fill that was not yet covered?

I am excited to be able to share a “green” beauty brand that celebrates effective ingredients sourced ethically and sustainably around the world.

What has been the biggest challenge in this whole adventure?

The biggest challenge I have faced is finding the right “home” for the nyakio brand. So I am excited to have partnered with Sundial Brands and have exclusive sales with ULTA and ULTA.com.

Why do these products have additional value ?

Nyakio skin care products are not only created with ingredients that are healthy, but also modern formulas give effective results and help reduce the signs of aging.

What is your favorite?

Choosing a product is very difficult, but currently my favorites are Nyakio Sweet Almond Oil Cleansing Balm, Nyakio Marula & Neroli Brightening Oil and Nykaio Quinoa De-puffing and Firming Eye Cream. Uses every day!
