Having beautiful and healthy hair is what we all want, right? And although we can find a thousand products that promise us a beautiful head of hair, the solution may be simpler than we think if we just turn to see what nature offers us
Because, let's think: Before the commercial appearance of shampoos and conditioners, our ancestors used only natural ingredients that allowed them to clean and care for their hair. And perhaps it is time to rescue those old customs.
That is why we want to share a secret that will provide multiple benefits to your mane: rosemary.
Rosemary (rosmarinus offícinalis L.) belongs to the lip family and has antioxidant and antibacterial properties; Helps decongest the airways, improves the digestive system and treats rheumatic pain. In addition, another of its properties -which is what concerns us today- is that of stimulating hair follicles, making it an alternative to avoid or delay hair loss.
Hair is a great indication of our overall health. In the last few months - perhaps due to changes in my diet or the stress of quarantine - I had noticed my lifeless hair, with more hair loss than normal and stagnant in growth.
Far from using chemicals, I wanted to give this remedy a chance that several people had recommended to me; after all, he had nothing to lose.
So I went to work to prepare an infusion of rosemary that I added to my regular shampoo. To my surprise, after a month I could notice how my hair regained its shine and feels fuller than before. It is not a miracle remedy, but I liked it so much that I will continue using it for a longer time. I recommend that you do the test and see for yourself.
Rosemary water for your hair
Including rosemary in your personal care routine is as easy as making tea. For each cup of boiling water, add two branches of the plant and let it rest for a few minutes. The longer you sit, the more concentrated the infusion will be. Then you have three options:
Use water as a night hair tonic
- Use the infusion as a bath for your hair after shampoo (DO NOT RINSE)
- Add this mixture to your favorite shampoo and use it daily (let it rest for a few minutes)
Whatever the option, you should know that this infusion will give your hair nutrients.
Don't forget that rosemary infusions can also help you treat stomach problems, muscle and joint pain, menstrual pain, and decongest the airways. However, in high amounts it can cause stomach irritation, so be careful how much you take. In addition, it is not recommended for pregnant or lactating women, so if you want to try this remedy, it is better that you consult your doctor before.
