It's Official: We Love Shoes

It is no secret that we love shoes and that we would do anything to make a new pair whenever possible. But according to a recent survey, we also tend to hide our shoe purchases from our partner and wear heels even though our hearts hurt.

According to a survey by the Consumer Reporting Research Center for ShopSmart magazine, American women have 19 pairs

of shoes on average, although they only wear four regularly, and 15

percent have more than 30 pairs.

According to the survey, women also acknowledged hurting themselves by wearing high-heeled shoes, with 43 percent acknowledging having suffered moderate damage with a shoe, while 8% spoke of serious injuries, such as sprains or fractures.

The survey, conducted by telephone among 1,057 women, also found that women buy four pairs a year, and 13 percent admitted having hidden a shoe purchase from their partner.

Other fun facts: Six out of 10 women regret at least one purchase and on average women put on 25% of their shoes just once.
