Fashion Week In New York: Jason Wu's “flat” Bun

New York Fashion Week started yesterday and one of the most anticipated shows was that of Jason Wu, the young Taiwanese designer who gained remarkable popularity when Michelle Obama wore one of her dresses. "This season I was inspired by Irving Penn's photos, especially the" platinum prints, "he said before the show. "I wanted to reflect Penn's personal style in my collection and also all of his work."

What inspired this look? Jason and I were inspired by Holly Hunter's look in the movie The Piano so we wanted the hair to convey that feeling. How can a woman get this hairstyle? This look allows for an easy transition from day to night but is especially romantic at night.
