Beautiful blues, deep reds, floral embroidery and abundant leather stood out in the fall / winter show by the renowned Venezuelan designer. "I design for a woman who is not afraid to be elegant, and who is very confident in herself," Herrera told Siempre Mujer behind the scenes. "There is a lot of red, printed with photos of me in small … and dressed in cuts that seem to imitate the waves." The models, armed with hats made by Albertus Swanepoel and shoes by Manholo Blahnik, were praised by Diane Kendall, MAC makeup artist, and Cuban stylist Orlando Pita. "We were inspired by the seventies, and we wanted to make 'smoky' eyes using violets and purples, natural cheekbones and lilac lips with a touch of blue," said Kendall of makeup. For the hair, the look was simple. Pita and Herrera were inspired to see a model who wore her hair down days before the show, and decided to do a simple hairstyle but with a modern touch: smooth loose hair with a little volume in the crown, parting to the side and hair outside of the face. To give it a modern look, Pita used Moroccan Oil Hydrating Styling Cream on all hair and Moroccan Oil on the ends.
