In the market there are hundreds of products that promise to lose weight and shape our figure. Fighting cellulite, stretch marks and removing that extra fat are some of the tempting miracles that various textile brands offer us. But do we really lose weight wearing those leggings, girdles and belts?

To begin we must accept the inevitable: to have a healthy and beautiful body, there is nothing else to do but eat healthy and exercise. That is the miraculous combination. But what happens if you combine it with these slimming garments? First we must bear in mind that there are two types of garments: those that promote sweating and those that focus on shaping the figure.

The most popular to shape the figure are the girdles … and if they are Colombian, better? This type of garment promises to correct your posture and give you that hourglass shape that many women want. These girdles are made of inflexible materials that contract your body and, in some cases, limit your mobility. That's the trick: "keep everything in place." On the other hand, we have those garments that contain ingredients that promote sweating and improve the appearance of the skin.

Caffeine, green tea, algae and shea butter are some of the compounds that are included in the fabrics of these clothes that promise to contribute to burning fat, improve circulation and nourish the skin. However, it is not scientifically proven that wearing such garments actually helps you lose weight. What can happen is that your skin looks soft since rubbing your skin with the garment releases the aforementioned ingredients, serving as a mini repair massage.

In conclusion: we can say that some of these garments can improve the appearance of your skin, but they are not miraculous nor will they burn fat. Better, try to eat healthier and stay active so you see positive changes in your body.
